Fashion & product development student
Meg Vondran is a senior college student pursuing a degree in Apparel Merchandise and Product Development with a strong interest in the creative and business sides of the fashion industry. Through her academic work and hands-on experience, she has developed skills in merchandising, retail operations, product presentation, and brand development.
During college, Meg participated in the Enclothe Fashion Show, an annual senior-produced event that highlights student collections and industry-focused projects. The experience strengthened her understanding of collaboration, sustainability, merchandising strategy, and the fast-paced nature of fashion production.
Vondran’s path into fashion developed through hands-on work rather than theory alone. Alongside her college studies, she gained practical experience working as an assistant buyer and store manager.
Drawing from her experience in retail operations, modeling, merchandising, and collaborative fashion projects, Vondran is encouraging students, employers, and industry leaders to prioritize professionalism, mentorship, and personal resilience as the fashion industry continues to evolve.
Working as an assistant buyer in retail fashion is one of those roles that sounds glamorous from the outside, but is actually very detailed, fast paced, and highly analytical.
